5 Summer Swimwear Trends to Look Out For

Imagine warmth. Imagine sitting on the beach on a cloudless day and the sun shining bright. What are you wearing?

Swimwear changes every year. From one-pieces to tankinis to bikini tops and swim shorts, now to designer swimwear that you don’t ever swim in, there seems to always be something new in swimwear every year.

Let’s take a look at four new and trending for this summer!

Polka Dots

She wore an itsy-bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini… oh wait, this isn’t a song post. Polka dots are back in full force this summer in all colors and styles. If you like the retro look, this is for you.

Smocking and Ruffles

Nothing says feminine more than smocking on a swimsuit (these are for adults, not our little girls) or some ruffles. Popular are off-the-shoulder ruffle swim tops and one-pieces. If you are into the more feminine look, this is for you.

One-Shoulder Suits

If you are okay with weird tan lines, then you can rock a one-shoulder suit. That’s the only downside to this style of swimwear, but they are very in style right now and looks good on anyone!

Belts

Cinching the waist with a belt is flattering on everyone. And this summer, expect to see swimsuits of all styles taking advantage of this.

Color Blocking

You’ll see suits with many blocks of color on them. Some are in really cool designs as well. If you are feeling bold with your swimwear, then this is the one for you.

What styles interest you the most? Are you willing to bold or stay conservative?
